New Wine, Old Name
March 22, 2016
We’re releasing a brand-new wine in May. This dark red wine has smooth tannins and deep flavors of berries and herbs. We went to the history books for a name for this wine. Well, one history book in particular: the history of our town of New Haven back to its charter in 1761.
We name this wine in honor of the Farnsworth family, who farmed this land from 1816 to 1919. They would never have imagined that fine wine grapes would one day grow on their hill. We like to think that the Farnsworths — Silas and Sophia, Aaron and Harriet — would have enjoyed a glass after their day’s work.
We’re excited to share Farnsworth ’14 with you in a few months– watch for details and join us for our Release Party on May 21.
