Finished Harvest
Oct 11, 2017
Today marks the end of the 2017 harvest. Except for the rows we left for ice wine this winter, the grapes are all in. The winery is fizzing and fragrant with all the fermentations. We’re breathing a sigh of happy relief; Mother Nature can be challenging, but she was mostly good to us this season. The young wines are full of promise. We’re on our way!
Our Grape-ometer grand total for this year is 72,140 pounds. Congrats to Rebecca D, whose guess was the closest this year! This year’s total is right about our average for pounds picked. The quality is, across the board, very good. While the vineyard work is done till winter pruning, Chris, Roxanne, and our 2017 apprentice Ryan are hard at work in the winery.

- Petite Pearl on a gorgeous day.
- Petite Pearl produced a lot of foam in the press pan. It was delcious!
- We certainly got lucky with picking weather this year.
