Sweet & Salty

At this month’s party, we’ll explore how some basic building blocks of food– saltiness, sweetness, tartness, and fattiness– interact with different kinds of wine. We’ll taste eye-opening (taste-bud-opening?) examples of how salt affects the flavor of Black Sparrow, for example, and how honey impacts your perception of Ragtime White. These flavor revelations lead to a discussion of the basics of pairing food with wine in harmony with each other.
Members will pick up this month’s six featured wines, and have the option of purchasing others at the special wine club party discount of 15% off.
