Lincoln Peak Vineyard - Wine from our own vineyard: blossom to bottle!

What They’re Saying

In national wine press:

“Vermont, renowned for its maple syrup, also has a star wine producer in Lincoln Peak Vineyard.  It excels at Frontenac Gris, La Crescent, and Marquette, and its Black Sparrow white blend is a top seller.”
Jancis Robinson & Linda Murphy, American Wine, 2013

“One of the two best wineries in northern New England, Lincoln Peak Vineyard is one of the few wineries in this book producing 100 percent estate-grown and -bottled wines.”  —Patricia Harris & David Lyon, Food Lovers’ Guide to Vermont and New Hampshire, 2012

From an article called “Great wines from obscure varieties” at Richard Leahy‘s Wine Report: “Lincoln Peak Vineyard Marquette 2008 (VT).  This is a rich, full-bodied wine… Dark purple color and blackberry and spice aromas lead to black cherry, wild berry, and smoke nuances on the palate, with plush smooth long tannins. Who knew a red wine like this could be grown and made in Vermont?”

In the blogosphere:

“[Chris] makes some of the best damn wine anyone is making with these grapes. Simple as that!  … It was one solid wine after another. From wine to wine, from white to red, there was consistency, flavors, and quality.”–Carlo DeVito, East Coast Wineries post “Chris Granstrom Has a Secret!  (See also Carlo’s previous post)

On review sites:

“Just off Route 7 north of Middlebury, this winery should definitely be considered a ‘hidden gem.’  They have some of the best wines we’ve tasted in New England.”  -gobadgers77 of Madison, Wisconsin on TripAdvisor

“We happened upon this lovely little vineyard and were not disappointed. We did the wine tasting while standing at the bar where you walk in- no there is not a sit-down area for the wine tasting.  That was not a big deal to us.  The price for the tasting is very reasonable and the woman was very nice and well informed about the wines. I wish I had bought more bottles of their white wine La Crescent. It is excellent.”  –CPfromNJ of Newark, New Jersey on TripAdvisor

“All wines are made from grapes grown in VT which is amazing.  We tried several and on our scale of 1-6 every wine was a 4 or above.  If you’re looking for Italy or France made wines, this is not the place for you.  If you are interested in trying something made in Vermont, this is the place to go!” –Laurea of Orange, VT on Yelp
